Ex Blues striker Chris Hope bagged a hatrick for the strong looking Saints team where the impressive spine of the Saints team consisted of 1st teamer Rich Connolly, Steve Blackford and Chris Hope.

The young Blues though put on a brave showing and at times outplayed the Saints in the football department but without really pressuring the Saints goal, one or two unbiased decisions by home referee John Rees upsetting the older lads of the Maesglas back four, one decision resulting in a penalty for what was an obvious dive.....

Saints deserved the points and no arguments there, the Blues on the other hand need to keep their heads up and battle on, with a few more players to come into the team things will be on the turn, especially if they keep trying to play decent football.
